My Sweet Heart

Here is my boy once again!
He has been really good about letting me put his halter on, pick up his feet, and brush him all over.
Every day Bella and Rascal come in the barn. Bella goes in her pen and Rascal stays outside of it, by doing this I can halter and work with him.

In the next 2 weeks I will be updating Pictures as we get a cow, 3 piglets, and 50 chickens.* dies of shock* That is a lot!

I haven't said anything before this but I am really excited of the fact that we are adopting 3 girls from Ethiopia! I can not wait for them to come home. In my family I will be the oldest of 9 kids at almost 15, and we will be a family of 11... living in the middle of Amish country.

Well I am hoping to ride Daisy this coming week as it has been raining and I have been sick.

Tootles,
Me~

Introducing.....Rascal Flatts!

"Hi, my name is Rascal Flatts. and I was born on 4-2-08 and I am almost a week old."

Bella (Rascal's Mom) was very protective of him the first few days of his life. Every day I would go down to the barn and sit or stand on the other side of the gate untill Bella felt at ease with me being so close to Rascal. I have now been able to go in the stall with Rascal and brush him all over. My Sister and a few other children have been able to pet him. I have also been able to try his halter on him and pick up all 4 of his feet!:-)
Rascal does not like mud! The only way outside is through a big slop of mud so he has yet to go out in the pasture. He and Bella can go out when ever they want but he will not leave the barn... I am thinking about letting Daisy (my 18yr old QHx) out with them to see if they will go outside.
Here is some history on Bella and my Other horses.

  • Bella (8 year old, Paint or QH)- Bella was given to us by some friends of ours . She was pregnant at the time. The people they got her from had no idea when she was due. They kept her in with the stallion to "Keep him calm"... She was very head shy, spooky, didn't lead well, and is not trained to ride. After 5 months of TLC she is calmer, and lets you pet her face.
  • Daisy (18 year old QHx)-We bought Daisy in Sep. of 07. she is a wonderful mare. just as sweet as can be. She rides English and Western, and is Shedding like CRAZY!!!
  • Berry Wonderful (6 year old halflinger)- Berry and I have not been able to get along very well and so we are planing on selling him very soon.:-) For someone he will make a wonderful horse but our personalities clashed and caused some minor problems.
  • Duke (5 year old Mustang/Morgan) Duke was given to us. My Dad helped friends move across country, in return they gave us Duke. He is the sweetest horse you will ever meet. My dad was able to ride him for the first time this last summer and we are hoping to be able to do more with him this year.

God Bless,

Me~
